Aidan Rickel - Pianist, Keyboardist & Vocalist
Aidan is a pianist, organist, vocalist, conductor, composer, and producer. Aidan holds a Master of Music degree in therory and composition from Wayne State University
Since 2020, he has served as the Artistic Director for the Novi, MI. Choralaires. Aidan has served as a sacred music director for 15 years, currently as the Director of Music Ministries at St.Mary Cause of Our Joy Catholic Church in Westland, MI.He teaches a private studio of award winning students, who have received recognition in youth composer and performance comperitions.
When not directing or instructing, Aidan is active producing music, videos, and performing. He writes in a viaiety of styles ranging from rock to electronic, from sacred to jazz, often arranging music for his church choir and the Novi Choralaires. These include his original compositions, the Unum Corpus Missa Mass of Jubilant Victory, and orchestral symphony "Unchanging Change" and a dozen instrumental albums under his stage name Grey Aven.
His musical reach extends further into the community through his funk fusion group, GRLTEK, as keyboard/vocalist in the blues folk band SongSmith, and his church band Ever New, where he performs eclectic sets of Motown, classic rock, and country at local festivals. He produces videos, posters and other digital content for all of his artistic ventures. He is also a writer, authoring a weekly artical in the church bulletin with his philosophic musings.
Aidan has brought his experience in music therapy and education to the "Music Mends Minds" initiative, helping to promote community engagement through joyful music making. Weather mixing and mastering tracks at a digital audio workstation or performing live with his diverse acts, Aidan remains dedicated to the positive transformative power of music.
